Custom VRChat avatars · existing bases

From base to you.

baseworks personalises VRChat avatars built on existing bases, the ready-made models their creators sell. We fit outfits, hair and accessories to your base, edit colours and textures and set it all up in Unity. Then we test it on PC and help you upload it.

01 The work

Existing assets, one coherent avatar.

Bases, outfits, hair and accessories are made by their creators. Our job is choosing pieces that work together and turning them into one avatar that is clearly yours.

  1. Base and assets

We help you choose a base, then outfits, hair and accessories that are compatible with it.

  2. A coordinated design

One planned look rather than a pile of parts: silhouette, palette and details worked out from your references.

  3. Fitting

Clothing and accessories fitted to the base’s proportions, with clipping (skin or inner layers poking through the clothes) fixed where it shows.

  4. Textures

Colours, decals (small images such as a logo or tattoo, added to the skin or clothing) and texture edits that make the avatar personal.

  5. Features

Toggles (switches in your VRChat menu that show or hide clothing and accessories) and simple add-on modules, set up in Unity as included in your package.

  6. Testing

We test the avatar on PC before delivery, then help you upload it.

We customise existing assets. Modelling from scratch isn’t part of any package.

02 Selected work

Examples of the work

Our work, shown in high-quality studio renders: each example puts an existing base in an outfit refitted from a different base. In a client order, major refitting of an outfit made for a different base is quoted separately.

03 Pricing

Packages and prices

Package prices cover the work. Paid assets are not included: you buy them and provide them to us.

Basic Personalise

$50

For an avatar you already have.

  • Colour changes to an avatar that is already assembled: hair, eyes, skin and clothing, as applicable.
  • One simple decal or personal detail.
  • Your existing outfit and features are kept.
  • GoLoco (extra poses and movement controls) or other simple modules added.
  • One revision round.

  • One compatible existing outfit and one hairstyle.
  • Up to three accessories.
  • Coordinated colours and simple texture edits.
  • Up to five simple clothing and accessory toggles.

Premium Signature

from$300

  • A Quest version of the avatar, plus in-depth optimisation for PC and Quest.
  • Three revision rounds.
  • Premium is still customisation of existing assets: it does not include original modelling. The Quest version depends on the chosen assets being able to run on Quest, so we check them first.

Every package includes

  • Testing the avatar on PC
  • Help with uploading
  • Fixes for delivery bugs

What you may do with the final files depends on each asset’s licence.

Quoted separately

  • Quest versions for Basic and Standard
  • Major clothing refitting
  • Face tracking
  • Modelling from scratch

You buy the paid bases, outfits, hair and accessories and provide them to us. For a very large order, we can agree to buy them on your behalf.

What counts as a revision round

  1. One round is one collected list of changes within the agreed design.
  2. A different base, a replacement design or another major change of scope needs a new quote.
  3. Fixing our delivery mistakes never uses up a round.

Before an order is accepted, we confirm the complete asset budget and the service quote with you.

04 Process

How a commission works

  1. Send references

Message us with references, your idea, a rough budget and your base if you have one.

  2. Agree assets and quote

We choose the assets together and confirm the asset budget and our price. Then you buy the assets and provide them to us.

  3. Review the work

You see the work in progress and send changes in the revision rounds your package includes.

  4. Receive and upload

You get the avatar files, and we help you upload the avatar to your account.

Are paid bases, outfits and hair included in the price?

No. Package prices cover the work: you buy the paid bases, outfits, hair and accessories and provide them to us. For a very large order, we can agree to buy them on your behalf.

We agree the full asset list, its budget and the service quote before the order is accepted. Each asset’s licence terms also apply to the finished avatar.

Do you support PC and Quest?

Every package includes testing the avatar on PC. Premium also includes a Quest version of the avatar and in-depth optimisation for PC and Quest.

For Basic and Standard, a Quest version is quoted separately. Not every base, outfit or shader (what decides how a surface is drawn in the game) can run on Quest, so we check your assets first.

How do revisions work?

Send your changes as one list: each list is one round. Changes stay within the agreed design. Basic includes one round, Standard two, Premium three.

Switching to a different base or a new design needs a new quote. Fixing our own delivery mistakes never counts as a round.

Do you make original models?

Not as part of a package. baseworks customises existing assets: bases, outfits, hair and accessories made by their creators.

If a project needs modelling from scratch, it is quoted separately.

How do I start a commission?

Message us with references, your idea, a rough budget and your base if you have one. We reply with questions, suggest assets and send a quote.

Nothing is paid on this site: scope and final price are agreed in chat.
